Conversion steps

  1. 01

    Prepare the source file

    Keep a copy of the original JPG file. Check that it opens and that you have permission to process it.

  2. 02

    Use the corresponding engine

    Install Potrace on your device, then replace the input and output paths in the example. The command runs locally.

  3. 03

    Check the output

    Open the SVG file in a compatible app and check the content, pagination, and resources.

Compatibility

The photo turn path changes the details. But you can use the Portrace profile as a black and white contour; this process does not claim to retain all colours and textures of the photograph.
